Compliance

The PCI-DSS details security requirements for members, merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit cardholder data.

These requirements are formulated and administered, with input from parties involved at all levels of the payment card system, by the PCI Security Standards Council™.

Compliance standards vary based on factors such as the number of transactions performed in a year, the environment(s) in which the transactions are done, and the internal systems, equipment...

Encryption

All merchants, regardless of the environment they conduct business in —brick-and-mortar, brick-and-click, or completely web-based, have both an obligation as well as an industry mandate to protect consumers’ payment card data. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) provide guidelines on what merchants need to do to secure the sensitive data used in payment transactions, but that alone may not be sufficient to protect you and your customers...

EMV

The U.S. payments industry has relied on magnetic stripe-based card technology for decades, but most countries have or are in the process of transitioning to the EMV chip card standard. EMV ensures a card is authentic by utilizing encrypted data stored on the card. Now, recommendations and incentives are laying the path for U.S. adoption of EMV -- and early implementers will gain an advantage over competitors with solutions that are available now.

Payment Card Industry Compliance

As a merchant accepting credit/debit cards for payment, you are required to become compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

The PCI DSS details security requirements for members, merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit cardholder data.

To demonstrate compliance with the PCI DSS, small to mid-sized businesses are required to submit an attestation of compliance annually, commonly referred to as an SAQ (Self-Assessment Questionnaire). Additionally, if you're using an Internet connected device or software, you must also have and pass a quarterly network scan.

To help you in achieving and maintaining compliance we have partnered with an outside PCI Compliance company called Rapid Comply.

Prior to visiting the Compliance Portal, you need to obtain your user id and password. Your user ID and Password will be your Merchant ID Number. Please contact Customer Service at (888)381-6800 option 1 for any questions or concerns.
